On December 17th and 18th 2024, a Transnational Project Meeting (TPM) for the STELLA project was held in Athens, hosted by EKO, our Greek partners. The meeting brought together all partner organisations to review progress and plan the next steps. The meeting primarily focused on preparations for the upcoming training course in Malta, set for March, as well as arrangements for the next TPM, which AZO will host in Cyprus. Throughout the discussions, partners exchanged insights and proposed strategies to maximise the project’s impact, fostering a dynamic and constructive dialogue.

Key project deliverables were also reviewed, with particular attention given to their guidelines and deadlines. These include:

  • A compilation of 75 best practices demonstrating how sports can be used to enhance environmental awareness.

  • Stakeholder and expert interviews on the intersection of sports and sustainability education.

  • A comprehensive toolkit offering resources to support youth workers in integrating sports into environmental education.

The STELLA project, a KA2 initiative funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, is a 24-month collaboration running from 1st March 2024 to 28th February 2026. It aims to promote environmental sustainability through sports by fostering international partnerships and innovative educational approaches. Led by TDM 2000 ODV (Italy), the project involves a consortium of five organisations from across Europe: TDM 2000 (Malta), Active Zone Outdoor (Cyprus), SYAJ—Associação Juvenil Synergia (Portugal), and EKO (Greece). Together, these partners are dedicated to developing impactful resources and tools integrating environmental awareness into sports education.
